On the convenience of naming locations

According to Google maps, Beck Hole, Yorkshire is adjacent to Beckhole, Yorkshire. My, that must be convenient for all concerned.

ETA: And they’re both near Ugglebamby. Which I refuse to believe. The Ordnance Survey must be having me on.

ETA2: reliably informs me that they are in fact the same town. He has not yet, however, explained Ugglebamby.

ETA3: The indefatigable also informs me (in comments below) that the town’s name is actually Ugglebarnby, and is a corruption of a Scandinavian nickname that translates as “Owlbeard.” This isn’t getting any better.
