[photos] Grapevine Vintage Railroad
Took advantage of some free time today to shoot some photos of classic rolling stock in Grapevine, Texas. This equipment belongs to the Grapevine Vintage Railroad [ Web site | wikipedia ], except for the Santa Fe doodlebug and the 1930′s Pullman, which belong to a museum in Dallas. (And Thomas the Tank engine, not sure who he belongs to.) Lorne McCasin, general manager of the GVR, very generously spoke to me and Tim (from work) for a while, told us about some of the history of the rolling stock and physical plant, told us to wander around freely but please not mess about in the roundhouse. So we did!

As usual, much more at the Flickr set.
