[personal] A day ends
A good day for Green, which swung well below 4,000 in the Amazon rankings. I’m not complaining.
Not such a good day for me. Cancer followup today was sobering. I have an oncologist appointment on Friday to expand on all this. We’re closing in on a treatment plan. I’ll talk more about it once I’ve processed this stuff a bit better, both mentally and emotionally.
The people I love are taking care of me. I can ask no more than that.

June 9th, 2009 at 10:44 pmHi Jay,
I hope you’re having a better day today. I logged on because I have just finished reading your novel Trial of Flowers, and felt impelled to tell you just how wonderful it was. I loved every moment of it, found it challenging, sordid, beautiful, compulsive and very well written. Thank you for providing fantasy writing which is more than castles and princesses. I loved the tangible filth of the City, and the layers of horrors that were buried beneath it. I loved the imperfections of the characters so desperate to find redemption. I loved it all, and I’m devastated that it’s over! I look forward to reading more of your work.
Keep fighting the bastard cancer! The world isn’t ready to lose you yet.
Warm regards,
Jane

I echo everyone else here and on Twitter when I say that I hope you keep fighting, you keep surviving and keep your spirits up through this as difficult as it may be.
My thoughts are with you.
