Psst, guys, old Adolf had a lot more in common with your worldview than with anything liberal-progressives have ever dreamed up. In this country it’s conservatives who yearn to criminalize private behavior, marginalize and punish social and ethnic groups, burn books, torture suspected enemies, invade other countries, and similar trifles. Hitler in your mirror may be closer than he appears.

October 15th, 2009 at 6:05 pmThose Untergang/Downfall clips (there seem to be several) with the fake Obama subtitles are actually funny in a very perverse way, if you can understand the actual dialogue, because it frequently contradicts the fake subtitles.
Otherwise, those Obama/Hitler comparisons make me despair even further about the state of the US right and the US education system. Obama is no socialist. Neither was Hitler for that matter. And comparing a black man to a rabid racist is so offensive it’s beyond belief. And finding one of those vids linked in the blog of an Israeli newspaper is even more mindboggling – you’d think Israelis would know better than to make baseless Hitler comparisons. Though the thought of comparisons with Obama making Hitler’s remains spin wherever they dumped them makes up for the sheer mindboggling offensiveness at least a little.
