[art] The Child continues to make a house

A while back, started making a paper house, room by room. Just today, she showed me and some more rooms she’d made, along with a tree for outside.

I love the tree, and the toilet is…very cute. I’d say adorable, but then I’d be the guy who attached ‘adorable’ to a toilet.

That’s lovely, the tree in particular. Your daughter is very talented.

I hope you’ll keep those works safe, even if she someday loses interest in them. When I was about the child’s age, I made a lot of papercrafts. Paperdolls mainly, but I also have faint memories of building a shopping mall (Who? Me? Consumerist?) for my toys out of discarded boxes. My parents kept a lot of my old projects, but paper art tends to get lost, because it’s so ephemeral.

Absolutely. Among other things, that’s why I photograph as much as I can.

That’s great. I’m sure she’ll be glad to have photographic documentation of her artworks some day.
