[cancer|photos] The chemo bottle ritual, 1 of 12
This afternoon, after we unhooked me from the pump and took a three-mile walk to celebrate, ![[info]](http://stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small}
calendula_witch, shelly_rae, the_child and Mother of the Child gathered with me in the yard at Nuevo Rancho Lake to smash the first of the chemo bottles [ jlake.com | LiveJournal ]. I said a few personal words, then smashed the bottle.
Bottle the first.
Smashing the bottle inside a ritual cloth provided by Mother of the Child.
The glass, still with the hope and fear enclosed.
Pouring the glass into a catchment jar. We’ll need to upgrade to a larger jar.
Me afterwards, pensive.
Mother of the Child and the_child look on.
I stopper the bottle with the cloth, and meditate on my cancer.
