[personal] Dancing the hospital two-step, again

The universe, in its ongoing efforts to reduce my stress, help me avoid sick people, and allow me to take things easy whilst on chemotherapy, decided to send , a/k/a my mom, to the ER this morning with a suspected heart attack. Two hospitals and an ambulance transfer later she is resting comfortably in a cardiac ward close to Nuevo Rancho Lake. She apparently had a cardiac event, but the precise diagnosis awaits observation and further tests. She is cheerful and not in danger of her life, so all will be well.

As for my part, that is hospitals four and five I have spent time in over the past three weeks. Also, no writing today. I’ll be over visiting her again in the morning, and she is expecting to be discharged tomorrow, pending of course further followups.

Someone, somewhere, has a quiet, normal life, but it ain’t me.

Events always seem to happen in clusters. Usually in 3’s but not always.

Sometimes these events are sent to us to test our ability to cope. Sometimes these events are sent to us to see if we are ready to move up to the next level (emotionally and spiritually).

Yes everything that has been happening to you is stressful, no doubt about that… but the God(s) may be trying to help you move up.

I’m awfully sorry to hear about your Mom. It seems as if the universe really has it in for you and your loved ones at the moment.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your Mom as well as the mother of the child and yourself, of course, and may your future be free of further health scares.
