Regarding Amazon’s ebook sales in the Random House article – I’ve ‘bought’ about a hundred and fifty books for Kindle for PC, all of them cost $0.00 each. But they were transactions, I went through the shopping cart and they are purchases in my history, are these counted towards Amazon’s total unit ‘sales’ of ebooks? I’d bet money on it.

The list of Kindle bestsellers always seems to be populated by free books. How many hardbacks does Amazon sell for zero dollars? Their numbers have marketing department handprints all over them. I’m just saying.
