My tor.com story draws a lot of flak in comments — Apparently I write with tired, politically correct tropes. Good thing I always believe the story belongs to the reader.

SMBC on ending sentences with a preposition

Wombats, pangolins and platypuses in a Victorian mansion… in Wales — Huh.

A Battle of Britain anniversary poster — Some very nice design here.

You know, I read your story on Tor, and I saw some things that stood at as “showing your bias” so to speak, but maybe it’s because I know you, just blew right by it. We’re on opposite sides politically so it didn’t bother me. Still a good piece. Interesting to see how others responded. I thought they went off the deep end on it though.

Representative of the white patriarchy to the one side, purveyor of tired politically correct tropes to the other – some days you just can’t win.

For what it’s worth, I enjoyed the story. Of course, there were some themes that keep popping up in your work again and again, but that’s the case for every writer out there.
