[links] Link salad judges a book when it’s over
My collection from Subterranean Press, The Sky That Wraps, is shipping
Star Wars propaganda posters — Wow. (I may have linked these before, if so, my apologies for the re-run.)
Interstellar Archaeology on the Galactic Scale — Deep skiffy stuff. Absolutely a must-read if you’re a hard SF writer or fan.
The Stag: 1938 — Shorpy with a photo of historic Omaha. My usual hotel there is a tad nicer.
Pornography in hospitals — This is both serious and hilarious. Not exactly worksafe, though it is covering medical and social issues rather than prurience.
Stephen Colbert testifies before Congress, in character — Rep. Lamar Smith (R.-TX) thanks Colbert for his support of the Republican Pledge to America. How strange is this? We live in the Max Headroom future.
O’Donnell wonders why Monkeys aren’t still evolving into Humans — More conservative “thought”. And these people get elected…

September 26th, 2010 at 3:58 pmThere are people who don’t know that porn to facilitate sperm donation? The mind boggles. I mean, even I knew that and I’m not male, have never donated sperm and have never even been in a fertility clinic.
I’m also quite stunned that a British newspaper would make a stink about the porn (well, it’s The Sun, which barely qualifies as a newspaper). After all, British comedies have been making jokes about the porn in fertility clinics for years.
As for the monkey, they were already beginning to evolve, when they saw Ms. O’Donnell and decided that being human wouldn’t be an improvement.
