November 10th, 2010 at 6:26 pmI didn’t even realize that the priority security lanes I saw at British airports were “pay for faster service”. I always assumed that those lanes were intended for business and first class passengers and other “important” people. So if it’s a service that every passenger can use, provided they are willing to pay for the privilege, they’re not doing a very good job advertising that.
Though the head of Ryan Air complaining about airports charging extra for privilege is pretty rich, considering that Ryan Air charges you extra for every little thing, so unless you’re willing and able to fly without luggage, without toilet breaks and any food or drink, you’ll pay often end up paying more for their low cost tickets than for a regular ticket at another airline.
The suicide mindset link was interesting, particularly considering that Germany is currently remembering the first anniversary of the suicide of National soccer team goalkeeper Robert Enke and depression is in the news again.
Question of the day: Either Penne Arrabbiata or my Mom’s pork curry with the full supplement of side dishes. The Penne I can make tomorrow, if I want to, though the curry is labour intensive and thus only for special occasions.
