Antiscience party — The explanation for the GOP’s opposition to science is pretty clear to me. When you embrace rejection of basic reality through faith-based thinking on one topic, it becomes acceptable to do so on any topic. Their post-Nixon pandering to the Creationism of the Religious Right has been going on so long that has become a core pattern for them.
