January 15th, 2011 at 9:34 pmThe two spaces after a period thing seems to have been a US specific convention, because I’ve never done that or heard/seen anyone doing it in Germany. Of course, I taught myself to type on an early PC in the 1980s, so I missed some of the common conventions. But my mother who had typing classes and used to work in an office doesn’t use two spaces either.
