[photos] Flying with the Emerald City

As noted yesterday [ jlake.com | LiveJournal ], [info]the_child and I went flying with [info]elusivem in the good aerostat Emerald City. A good time was had by all, except possibly the balloon envelope.

Very cool photos. What strikes me in particular is that both balloons don’t have any advertising on them.

Ballooning was popular in my region a few years ago to the point that you’d see balloons on the horizon almost every weekend (high fuel prices harmed the popularity). However, pretty much every balloon I ever saw was covered with advertising.
