NASA gets starry-eyed over Boeing offer — Partnership could hasten agency’s return to space. Crewed spaceflight, specifically.
The myth of Obama’s “blunders” and “weakness” — Maybe, maybe not. I am rapidly growing a lot more cynical about Obama, the unease that started with his senatorial vote for the telecom bill having come to fruition. Either way, the country got rolled hard by conservatives, and a lot of people are going to suffer for this. (Thanks to David Goldman.)

August 5th, 2011 at 6:37 amThe Baltic sea would actually make sense for Nazi saucers since the entire Baltic Sea was either in Nazi or neutral hands by 1941 and the area is not very densely populated. Besides, Peenemünde, where the V2 rockets were built, is on the coast of the Baltic Sea. And the Baltic Sea was a popular location for civilian and military test flights, e.g. the Hindenburg sister airship that was never in regular service did its only test flights over the Baltic Sea. So if one did believe in the existence of Nazi flying saucers (which I don’t), the Baltic Sea would be a logical location to find one.
Actually, this is a nice spark for a story idea.
