[cancer|personal] Neither wit nor erudition
Neither wit nor erudition seem to abound today in my personal world. I’m off for my Neulasta shot in a few hours, and that’s about it for my big plans for the day. Chemo went okay without any irritating side effects so far. The big question is whether last cycle’s lower GI eruptions will resume. Only time will tell, and I hope like crazy the answer is “no”.
Being stuck in the house without transportation is beginning to really irk. I’ve cheated with a couple of early morning store runs, a mile or so with little traffic on familiar roads, and even that is exhausting. Still I managed to be part of the Niece’s birthday party yesterday after coming off the pump.
Edging closer to the end. Two more to go. I just need to stay healthy enough to avoid another postponement.

My Life as a White Supremacist
Candidates (Except Romney) Gather In Iowa For Doomiest And Gloomiest Debate Of All — And so they got their moment — and essentially two hours of prominent Republicans talking about how persecuted Christians are in modern America, and how secularism is out to destroy us all. My friends on the Right confuse persecution by Christians with persecution of Christians. Or perhaps they’ve never heard of school prayer, Creationism, forced pregnancy, religiously based bullying exemption, “conscience laws” for medical providers and gay bashing as planks of their own party. Or perhaps they’re unaware of the percentage of Christians serving in Congress and all levels of government, as compared to any other religious group or atheists. Persecution doesn’t mean “when I don’t get it all my own way.”

[personal] Sunday
Well, it’s Sunday, I slept a ton, off the needle soon. Not much more to say. Regular wit and erudition should resume tomorrow.

[cancer] Chemo 10, day two
Bleah. I’m ok, within the context of being on the pump, but ‘bleah’ is really all I have to say.
