If you knew Mark, or ever spent some time with him, you are aware he was a very funny a man. Not so much a jokester or a punster, but more a wit. Imagine Steve Buscemi playing Alan Rickman playing Oscar Wilde.

My favorite Mark memory was at “Washicon” with Elizabeth Bourne and Janna Silverstein. I had just told the group, who knew of my Stage IV lung cancer diagnosis, that it was OK to ask me anything. Mark leaned towards me, looked me intently in the eye, and said, “OK…what IS dark matter?”
I spewed my drink. I will miss your fine humor and infectious smile, my friend.
