[photos] Ballooning through the Nebraska skies
I still don’t have access to the photos taken in-flight from inside the basket, but here are some nice ones from fellow passenger Doris Abraham, as well as ground crew members Dani Martin and Tracy Rotundo. Man, that was a lot of fun.

That is soo awesome! We just had a balloon festival here in OH, so cool to see them up close. Unfortunately I’m afraid of heights so no flight for me:) Glad you could do that!
I am trying to connect with Tracy or Matthew Rotundo. They landed this balloon in our field a couple of years ago. We would like to talk to them about possibly tethering balloon(s) in our fields on the Elkhorn River (just north of Elk City) for a Rotary benefit that we are hosting on October 28th. Please forward my email to them. Thanks
I will be happy to help. The balloon actually belongs to pilot Michael Jones. His Web site for the balloon is http://www.emeraldcityexpress.com. There is contact info on the site. I happen to know he is out of town on vacation this week.
If he doesn’t respond promptly, email me at jlake@jlake.com.

I’m not keen on heights either but somehow being in a balloon basket isn’t the same as being at the top of a skyscraper.
And Jay, I continue to hope that you and your daughter will someday do the balloon ascent at dawn over Luxor…
