[cancer] NIH Day Five

The mid art part of the forty-eight hour infusion with no sleep. Not smart enough today to describe it well. Imagine sort of like this:

:: meds ::
:: meds ::
:: meds ::
:: piss ::
:: piss ::
:: piss ::
:: what the hell piss some more ::
:: meds ::
:: meds ::
:: harder meds ::
:: brain fade ::
:: vomit ::
:: piss ::
:: piss ::
:: meds ::
:: vomit ::
:: meds ::
:: doze ::
:: piss ::
:: piss ::
:: no sleep ::
:: vomit ::
:: poop:
:: meds ::
:: meds ::
:: piss ::
:: vomit ::
:: piss ::
:: meds ::
:: meds ::
:: more poop ::
:: doze ::
:: vomit ::
:: meds ::
:: way to much fucking poop ::
:: piss ::
:: vomit ::
:: meds ::
:: piss ::
:: no food of any kind ::

    Oof. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Hope you at least get some sleep.

    I’m sorry to see less of “doze” and more of “vomit.” This part is over soon, then it’s the Yay Science part … ?

  3. Harald Striepe says:

    Quite a way to lose some weight! Gotta go with the flow.

    I am happy for you to be going through this, the alternative would not have been good.

    Eventually, there will be rest. Hang in there, dude!

  4. This sounds like a demented version of the Puppy Mantra: whatsthiswhatsthisgottapeegottapeesleepsleepwhatsthisgottapeegottapee…

    I don’t know you Jake but I read your blog every day. Having just went through some grueling treatment last year I know how horrible this and I imagine this is even worse. I do think of you each night and hope that you are not too uncomfortable and that this latest effort pays off. It is not big science, just big concern and respect for you. Don’t give up. We are with you.
