I have tried to teach my daughter that one of the most fundamental definitions of fairness is to reverse the situation and consider how you’d feel in the other person’s position.

That being said, partisanship in this country has long since passed a point of intellectual no return. In effect, instead of saying “our guys do this thing because it is right”, the mantra today seems to be “this thing is right because our guys do it.”

What the hell happened to principle?
