[personal] Memories, in the corners of my blog

From majikshop via matociquala:

“If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don’t speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want — good or bad. When you’re finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.”

My first memory of you was looking through the nursery window in the Naval Hospital in Taipei. Your eyes were huge and blue and your hair nearly white and almost as long as it is now! All 8+ lbs of you was gorgeous. . .and I was proud.

Oh, I’m late on this, but wanted to reply.

I guess the most prevalent memory is of you having the fundraiser for a needy family. Several items were auctioned to raise money and I got a very nice bracelet, which I wear often, and it always reminds me of you and the help you gave your neighbors.

I’m late too, but just found your site – my fiance bought your book and I said, hey, I know that guy!!

Lotsa memories: You taught me Quark Xpress… working at that goofball software joint… you bought my books and pots and pans when I went off to Japan… You being generally wickedly funny around the office… The geeky guy who slept under his desk (not you, but the office made me remember that)… your big, generous laugh.

Hope you’re doing great, Jay… Salut!

    Hey Kami —

Good to hear from you. Are you back in Austin? I hope your fiance (and congratulations on that, btw) likes the book.
