Having finally left the B-24 behind, we drove on down through Geelong and on to Anglesea, where we picked up the Great Ocean Road. And had a massive lunch. After that, we toured down to Lorne before turning inland once again through some gorgeous hills.
Tasman Sea, just past Anglesea, Victoria. Note lighthouse in the distance.
Looking back from the same area.
A warning to swimmers and surfers.
jackwilliambell ascends from the unlifeguarded beach. I stayed up by the car, due to not wanting to burn myself out on the steps.
yuki_onna just looks like she’s dancing. She’s actually following jackwilliambell up the steps.
Echidna crossing sign.
Either a kangaroo crossing or a Qantas landing zone.
More Tasman Sea.
The Great Ocean Road its own self.
Beach house on the bluffs north of the highway.
Rather more insane beach house.
We finally find a beach I can walk on to, only to discover a menace from the skies.
Creek at beach access, just below the Great Ocean Road.
My fellow travelers fellow traveling.
Hills behind the beach.
Those two wacky houses again, shot via telephoto from the beach.
The next curve in the road.
The coastal forest up close. It just looks different from the Pacific Northwest.
Rocky beds at Lorne.
As usual, more at the Flickr set.
