In Kaikoura, NZ with this post. I woke up early that morning, and went across the street to stand on the beach and watch the sun rise over the southern Pacific Ocean.
Later that day, we took the boat from Dolphin Encounter Kaikoura, and went out on the water to swim with a wild pod of dusky dolphins. It was tough for me, as I discovered a tendency towards panic attacks when immersed in the deep ocean.
