GOP isn’t Getting more Ignorant on Evolution, it is Just getting Older — Backward thinking dominates the US and the GOP appears to be taking the country down further into obscurantism. The good news from the Pew poll, however, is that the youth of America disproportionately do accept evolution. Which perhaps means the long-term conservative project to commit wholesale sabotage on the American educational system through voucherization, charter schools and the dismantling of the science curriculum has not been as successful as Republicans might have hoped.
